Error
Nuker is another software package
designed to fix the registry to make the
computer operate more efficiently. The
basis of the software is to identify all
the broken links, font files and DLLs in
the registry along with missing
associations and left over files from
uninstalling programs. The theory is that
once these have been removed the registry
will operate more efficiently and
therefore speed up the overall
system.
Error Nuker produces a report that identifies
what issues were found and resolved in each
category and they state that they believe that
to maintain an efficient system it is good to
run the scan weekly, similar to virus checks.
The bonus with Error Nuker is that it can be
set up to run on a schedule so it is easy to
achieve the weekly scan. Also, the scan can be
customized if there are known items that should
be ignored as well though Error Nuker is set up
to use manual deletion of files and has an
automatic backup/restore point creation before
any items are deleted to reduce risks of
incorrectly identifying key
files.

Error Nuker
fails to convince me that it has anything of substance to
offer the user other potential grief from downloading
unwanted spyware and adware and potentially worse. Given
that the site isn’t even able to be upfront about the
fact you have to pay to run the repair function and how
much it costs or offer any clear guarantee it is
best to take your chances with any of the other sites
than this one.

Reimage
is hard to categorize as it isn’t the
typical registry cleaning product but
markets itself as a Window’s platform
repairer. It works by doing a free scan
to identify what issues exist in the
operating system, any operating system
files that need updating and if there are
any Trojans, pop ups, viruses or spam
that need to be deleted. It is an 'All in
One Program' designed to do the whole
lot.
At this point instead of being offered a one
off purchase and download option, Reimage
offers the option to pay for a one time
fix/repair. It is possible to get a refund if
unsatisfied with the result but in general the
service is like employing a remote technician
to do a one-off fix for a fraction of the
price.
The idea being that this will not only correct
all the obvious issues but tune the system in
the process so further scans and fixes are not
required for quite some time, if at all.
The repair is achieved by removing all the
damaged and broken files and replacing them
with ones from Reimage’s ‘spare parts
repository’.
For the individual Reimage seems a bit more
pricey than thoe others but essential and
well worth the cost if you want to get the job
done properly.
